Website and UI/UX design — design studio in Zagreb
Zale Design Studio builds landing pages and multi-page websites and designs web and mobile apps (UI/UX). We send a quote once we understand the scope of the project.
What website design includes
Your website is often a customer's first contact with your company: it is where they find out what you offer, how far they can trust you and how to get in touch. That is why we design from content and goals towards the look, not the other way round.
We build landing pages (a single page for a campaign, product or service) and websites with several subpages, and design web and mobile apps.
A landing page includes:
- content structure and wireframe,
- UI design for desktop and mobile,
- build of the responsive page,
- basic SEO set-up: page titles, descriptions and heading structure.
Who web and UI/UX design is for
Companies that need a new or better website, online shops, tourism businesses, and start-ups building an app that need UX/UI design for their own development team.
Website and app examples
For Top Sport we built an online shop for sports equipment and footwear with filters by size, colour and brand, adapted for mobile. For Bolero Drinks, a producer of instant powdered drinks, we built a website with product presentations and an online shop. For Gospodarski list we built a web portal, which we also maintain regularly. For PetBB we designed the logo and the UX/UI of a mobile app for booking stays at pet hotels, and for Loopcro the UX/UI design of a web and mobile app. For Linden Tree Retreat & Ranch we built a website presenting what the ranch offers.
How we build a website
First we define the goals and content structure, then create a wireframe, and after that the visual design. Only once you approve the design do we move on to the build, testing on mobile and desktop, and launch. Every site is adapted for mobile, because more and more people browse and buy on their phones. For apps, we can do the design only and leave development to your programmers.

Our process
Goals and content
We agree what the site must achieve, who it is for and what content it needs, then send a quote and deadline.
Structure and wireframe
We plan the layout of pages and elements before the visual design, so navigation is clear.
UI design
We design the desktop and mobile look in line with your visual identity and refine it with you.
Build and launch
We build the responsive site, test it on several devices and publish it.

Web/UI/UX →Frequently asked questions about website design
How long does it take to build a website?
It depends on the number of pages, features such as an online shop, and how much content is ready at the start. We confirm the exact deadline in the quote once the site structure is agreed.
What is UI/UX design?
UX (user experience) is planning how the product is used: structure, flow and logic. UI (user interface) is the visual layer: colours, typography, buttons and icons. A good website or app needs both.
Can you design an app for our own development team?
Yes. For Loopcro, for example, we created the UX/UI design of a web and mobile app the company had already conceived and needed design help with.
Do you offer website maintenance?
Yes, by agreement. One example is the Gospodarski list portal, which we built and maintain regularly.
Will the website work well on mobile?
Yes. We design and build every site responsively, so it works equally well on mobile, tablet and desktop.
